Just over a month ago, Honda showed the first photos of the upgraded Civic. Now it's time to refresh the latest configurationThe Japanese are extremely economical in their message and only mention that the updated Civic Type R will appear at the Tokyo motor show. The information is accompanied by only two photos of the car, the analysis of which allows you to answer several questions.
Changes in appearance (at least in the front) were limited to other entrances to the bumper - now they are not latticed, but full and have a body color. In Honda's hot hatch, we also find a revised multimedia system with physical (rather than touch-sensitive) buttons and a volume control knob. Also new will be the steering wheel with Alcantara trim and a modified gear lever with shorter control paths.
There is nothing that could lead to changes in the R-type transmission, at best, that would adapt the 320-horsepower two-liter unit to the latest emission standards. It would be nice to change the exhalation, which admittedly looks quite threatening, but doesn't sound at all. Unfortunately, in the updated Civic, instead we get a "generator" that will emit artificial engine sound from the speakers.Other changes include a redesigned front suspension, modified shock absorbers to improve ride comfort and traction, and stiffer rear bushings.
